Sorry about the shortage of posts. I have been painting though, just not blogging. This painting is a version of a composition I have been thinking of redoing on a larger canvas. I wanted to test the color and play with the wood too see if I could get a good texture. I am pleased with both so I will put this on my list.

I think you did a fantastic job with yor textures. The wood - crochet and skin on the fruit reads very true.

Hi Peter, nice to see you back. Thank you for being so prolific, I don't know how you do it. Needless to say I am also one of your fans. Your personality on the blog is great, thank you for sharing you work so freely.

Excellent painting with a perfect title. I'm envious of the vacation.

The broken string reminds me of a movie in which a virtuoso violinist in the 1700's was playing for a dinner group. He was creating lovely music but no one paid attention. One by one the strings broke. Each time he continued playing and was producing beautiful sounds on the final string, still unnoticed.

Wow
Your concept is so great, and wonderful detail on the lace.
It helps draw you into the painting.
