Daily Painting Practice - 30 Day painting marathon continues - Maine Seascapes

Day 4 but  I have a good excuse...

I did my painting but never got around to post it. I have a good excuse for not posting though. It involves a minor blizzard, 10 degrees below  0,  a truck with plow that broke down , a truck that needs a new alternator, a garage that couldn't finish before closing, needing a ride, and a dog that was waiting at home....
But I won't bother you all with the details, here's the painting.

Breaking up is hard to do
5"x7" oil on canvas board

step 1
Of course I reached into my collection of recycled 5"x7" canvas boards ( old daily paintings from years ago that I sanded down).
This morning it is  19 degrees below 0!!!! So this painting  is  a good reminder of what is coming.

Step 2
Bright and cheerful colors of summer... maybe that should have been the title?

This painting has a really nice sense of energy. Sorry you're dealing with such cold weather.
