Daily Painting Practice- A Quiet Morning - Work in Progress
I know I haven't posted in a while but things have been very busy - crazy busy! I thought at least I owed you all a look at one of the studio paintings I've been working on. This one is 92.5% complete and I am very pleased with it so far. The fruit is some of the best I have done to date. I need to clean up some detail in the cloth and the whole painting will get a glaze or two to tie the atmosphere together.

Beautiful work! The pitcher is great.
The apples are amazing. The one in the middle is my facal point of this painting. Very nicely done.
I meant "focal point"
The second I saw that apple in the middle, I thought "That would be a good apple to eat!" When people look at your fruit and think about eating it, that's a great sign of a job well done!! :0)
Love this! The fruit is great and the lace, wow. Barb
This is one of my favorites, simply beautiful!
WOw! do you mind sharing how you did that lace! What a project. Judy
The more I look at this, the more I love that you called this "A Quiet Morning". It reflects just how I feel in the soft glow of morning light. I don't want to break the silence.

Phenomenal...The light is lovely..The fruits are beautifully done, but, I'm with Judy, the lace is incredible. You must have an abundance of patience to do that! I, too, would love to know how you do that.
Great job, Peter.
Absolutely beautiful! I love the lighting!
Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments. Looks like I may have to do a demo of how I paint lace. I'll try and fit that into a future post.
Thanks again
