Day 23 of Leslie Saeta's 30 day challenge
After last weekend's snow camp painting workshop I needed some warmth in the studio. So here is a color study for a painting of a summer path to the beach.

I started with a thin wash of color to block in the masses of lights and darks.
I placed the patterns like paper cuts- outs. This is something I picked up last weekend from the Stapleton Kearns workshop.
Last, add some flavor or details.
