The birds outside must be having a horrible time this winter. This morning was 2 degrees and everything covered with ice and snow. I have birds on my easel too... and they are much warmer.

I have 6 of these square panels so I sketched out several compositions for some bird paintings.
This is how I start. Just dry brush the idea onto the canvas to see if it works.

I'll probably go ahead and sketch out the other four and work on all six at one time.
