I just hung the large mirror you see in the background on the studio wall. A good mirror is a valuable studio tool. You can use it to check drawing accuracy and values. Sometimes when you hold a finished piece in front of a mirror the faults in the painting will pop right out at you. A mirror also makes doing portrait practice interesting. Can you imagine how many hours Rembrandt spent in front of a mirror?
It was the end of the day. I just finished hanging up the large mirror on the studio wall and I had a small amount of paint left on my palette. What would you do? I began a study of myself painting at the easel. The light was fading and I ran out of paint but I got a good little self exam onto the panel.
